Website Redesign
LifePivot.org
Refining the value proposition. Broadening the appeal.
Feb. - May, 2020 - While working on my graduate certificate in UX, I secured a paid, part-time project to rewrite, redesign, and enhance the tone for LifePivot.org, a small (4 pages) professional services website for an executive coach looking to broaden his side business.
The scope included: overall revision strategy, information architecture recommendations, branding suggestions, copy edits, and layout and image recommendations optimized for both desktop and mobile web.
Although the project took longer than anyone had planned, regular communication kept expectations aligned through lots of iteration and weekly check-in meetings. Along the way, I had fun learning a new web publishing tool, Weebly, and sourcing new imagery on Shutterstock. Ultimately, I delivered the final results to the client’s satisfaction (and mine); more importantly, I applied my newfound UX knowledge to a real use case, and got paid to do so.
